I’ve documented my Regcure review with some videos on this page as well as the following article. I felt that some of you might prefer seeing how the actual program performed live, along with a live view of some of the features included. Those videos are embedded in the article below.
I put Regcure to work on a 3 year old Toshiba laptop that had never been re-formatted or restored. It had the original Windows XP install from factory on it, and I have installed and removed numerous different programs and pieces of hardware over the years.
Before Regcure it took my machine about 3:42 to boot-up and opening programs like Office or Internet Explorer was quite sluggish often appearing to freeze. I’ve included my test results after the Regcure review at the bottom of the page.
I first downloaded the Free Scan version from Regcure. This program allows you to complete a full scan of your system, how ever you cannot repair all of the errors found until you register for the full version of the program (something I also did to test the process of buying their software as well as how effective the registry repair process was).
The first scan took about four or five minutes to complete. As I watched the files go by in the progress bar I could see it was scanning more or less every file on my hard drive that was referenced by the registry.
That initial Scan found 1299 errors (you can see from the video above). I ran Regcure a second time to ensure it found the same number of errors. Some of the Registry cleaners I’ve tested don’t always find a consistent number of errors. This makes me wonder if the registry cleaner is really finding errors that need to be repaired.
After the scan was complete I was able to view all of the errors sorted by type. Of course when I went to repair them I was prompted to register for the full version of the software.
Registering was an easy process. There is a link at the top of the Regcure Screen to register for the full version. When you click that link you’re taken to a new screen to purchase you’re full license from the company website. For this Regcure review I made a regular purchase as you would as I wanted to not only test their software but also their checkout process.
Options for payment were credit card or PayPal. I opted to pay via PayPal, but their shopping cart takes all major credit cards as well.
NOTE: When you register your full version of Regcure you’re given the option to purchase the complete bundle of products form ParentoLogic (the creator of Regcure). This includes DriverCure, XoftSpySE, Privacy Controls, Backup, and of course RegCure. There is an option to upgrade to the premium version of these products. For my Regcure review I opted not to go for that, you can if you wish but I cannot comment on whether it’s worth it or not.
After you fill out your payment details you’ll be given a receipt with a transaction number as well as your registration number for Regcure. You can see a screen shot of my receipt below. I’ve whited out my email address for privacy reasons, and my registration code as it wouldn’t be fair to ParentoLogic to publish a registration code for their software.

NOTE: there is a Regcure review video below that shows how I ran another full scan after registering my version of Regcure, set a system restore point for backup purposes and repaired all of the errors found by Regcure. The video is about 6 minutes and 52 seconds long.
Before I tried to repair any errors I first went to the settings screen to turn on the “create system restore point” option. By doing this Regcure automatically creates a new system restore point before it repairs anything. This makes it easy to reverse the changes Regcure makes if you’re not happy.
For those of you not familiar with the system restore feature: Windows has a built in system restore feature that allows you to take a screen shot of your computer at any point in time. By doing this you can easily revert back to previous settings from an earlier date on your PC easily.
Here’s an image of the system restore point created by Regcure prior to my completing the repair of the errors found.
System Restore Point Created during my Regcure Review

After I registered the full version of Regcure it seemed I had to run a full scan again. I couldn’t easily find a way to repair the errors that were already found from the initial scan. This, now my 3rd scan (after the first 2 tests), seemed to go a lot faster then the first one.
After the Scan was complete I continued to repair the errors found by Regcure. The repair process took about two and a half minutes, and Regcure automatically created a backup of all the changes it made to my system registry.
NOTE: Regcure has a built in backup feature along with the system restore feature I mentioned above. After each repair process Regcure creates a backup set that allows you to undo the changes made by the program. See the screen shot below of the backup created during my repair process.
Backup Created after Regcure repaired all Errors

So did all this make a difference? Yes, I mentioned above that before running Regcure it took 3:42 for my laptop to boot up and most programs were sluggish to launch and open.
After running Regcure, repairing all the errors, and also going through the start-up manager to remove unnecessary items from the start-up folder (see regcure review video 2 above) I was able to reduce my start-up time to 2:39. Also when opening programs like Internet Explorer, Office, and my anti-virus software it was noticeably faster.
After spending about 2 hours doing this Regcure review I can honestly say that Regcure is a worth while program. It isn’t a one fix all solution for every PC problem you encounter, but running a registry cleaner like Regcure on a regular basis would help keep your computer running smooth.
A couple of points to mention, I would use both the “create system restore point” and the internal Backup feature in Regcure. You can never be to safe when it comes to your PC and all your data. Also, while Regcure found 1299 errors on my PC I don’t think everyone of them was critical. There is a lot of data in your Registry, and not all of it slows or harms the performance of your PC.
Of course on the other hand if you can remove, repair, and improve the performance of all areas in Windows registry why not.
In conclusion, I believe Regcure is worth the money (especially since you get four other programs in the bundle), and could save you a trip to a PC repair shop to improve the performance of a sluggish PC and correct DLL and related errors you might be getting.
