My Registry Cleaner Review
My Registry Cleaner version 3.0 created by PCSecurityShield is an easy to use registry cleaner with a clean and simple interface. This is a good registry cleaner for beginners, although I’m not sure how much it would offer the advanced user.

At first glance My Registry Cleaner looks more or less the same as every other registry cleaner I’ve reviewed. How ever after doing some research online about the program, I found some consumer complaints suggesting that MyRegistryCleaner didn’t find as many errors as other cleaners.
Of course this is a case by case basis, and the best thing to do is to download their free scan trial and scan your system to look for errors.
Also this program didn’t rank in the top 3 for my full registry cleaner review and comparison.
Like most other Registry cleaners the free scan is just that, a scan utility that will tell you how many errors were found in your Windows registry files, how ever it does not repair them. In order to repair the registry errors you must pay for a full version of the software. This is a pretty standard marketing method for software online. Some of the user comments I found online suggested that this was deceiving marketing, I don’t believe that’s the case.
Using My PC Registry Cleaner
When you open My Registry Cleaner you’re greeted with a very simple graphic interface (see screen shot at lef) showing the steps you take to improve PC performance and fix registry errors.
Step #1 backup your current registry files (a must for every registry cleaner to undo errors if they occur)
Step #2 Scan your entire registry for problems
Step #3 Repair any found Registry Problems
Step #4 Defrag your PC
I like step #4 thrown in there it’s not something that other registry cleaners do, but it’s an important piece of maintenance to perform often on your computer.
The scan time for My Registry Cleaner was average, nothing blazing fast and I for me I found it discovered a similar number of errors to other programs on the market.
Verdict on My Registry Cleaner
From the initial use I had of the program it seemed to work well. I liked the interface and it offered all the basic features I find important for a registry cleaner. How ever with that being said, some of the negative comments I found from users around the web did taint my opinion of the program, and it seemed to me that there were more negative then positive comments. Because of this I’d probably suggest a program like Registry Easy or Registry Mechanic instead of My Registry Cleaner.
